Entry: Taking over Thursday, March 30, 2006

Feels good to be back to work. There was already a paycheck there awaiting my arrival. YES. Now I can buy Sunkist and lunch tomorrow. *cheers at you*

Man... that movie High School Musical has taken over the country or something. I watched it with Philip, Bob, Bridget and their kids the night it first aired. I think Chancy was there too, weren't you? *ponders* Yes... playing WoW the entire time. That was the night you made Debrah do the angry face and the King Kong point.

Anyhoo... I didn't really give it much attention with the kids running around but I liked a song or two and my homegirl from the Suite Life of Zack and Cody was in it. So I was like well that was cool. And now I'm hearing on the news and in all these entertainment magazines that it is now the #1 Most watched Disney movie of all time, (comparing ratings/viewers to average DVD/theatre ticket sales) getting about 30 million viewers each of the TEN times it aired.

Then I woke up to the Today show this morning and the whole main cast was on a stage performing in the middle of Time Square and the news guy was like "congratulations... your soundtrack... #1 CD in the country." I was like wow. That's insane. Then I hear all these critics saying it's the Grease for this generation's teens. And they're already working on the sequal with the entire original cast signed on.

...

Needless to say, I need to pay attention next time it comes on. Tho I will already say it's better than Grease in the aspect that the kids are actually playing the correct ages... instead of being like 90 and playing highschoolers. lol.
